ESG Seminar and Leadership-Training
14-16th of August 2009; Yerevan/Armenia
INTERESTING, DIVERSE AND WITH LOTS OF FUN!
These words could well be used to describe the ESG meeting at Lake Sevan in Armenia.
People came from Armenia, Switzerland, Norway, Finland and Germany to take part. Right from the beginning we had a lot of fun together and we found it easy to make friends. The different forms of Leadership training on offer were e.g. warm up and ice breakers, arts and crafts, techniques for erecting different tents, preparation of camp fires and various songs from all the different countries. As well as all this, it was very informative to hear about the work of the YMCA in Armenia, the Jungschar in Switzerland and Germany as well as the Scouts in Finland.
A special highlight was our visit to an Armenian Monastery and our discussion with the priest living there..
We had lots of things to do, we had a lot of fun as well as a blessed time together - so this time together was very precious. In addition, the meeting was a very special adventure for all of us within the work of the European YMCA.
We have to say a big "Thank You!" to Lazarus Bardakchian for the excellent organisation and indeed for everything. Your hospitality and that of your volunteers was outstanding. We will always hold good memories of our stay in Armenia.

The next ESG Seminar and Leadership training will be in 2010 in Clui in Romania.
You are all heartily welcome ..............hope to see you there!
